Pradeep Sharma, who is thought to be the mentor of former Assistant Inspector Sachin Waze, who is being held by the NIA in connection with the bomb scare and death of Mansukh Hiran, was first questioned in April. The NIA has arrested former Mumbai Police 'encounter specialist' Pradeep Sharma in connection with the Mukesh Ambani bomb scare investigation, according to agency sources.
Sharma was arrested shortly after his residence in Andheri, Mumbai, was raided by a team from the central agency and armed CRPF (central reserve police force) troops, who arrived at 5 a.m. and searched for six hours.
After that, Pradeep Sharma was escorted to the NIA's office to be questioned.
The raids follow the discovery of suspected ties between Pradeep Sharma and Santosh Shelar, who was detained last week and is being held in NIA custody till June 21.
